Hi!
Remember the web comics that I said Brian and I had kinda worked on last time I posted? Well, it’s available for viewing on the worldwide information superhighway now! Just surf on over to the brand new webcomics page on the website and check it out.
While your surfing around the ol’ Resolution website, you can always pick up a copy of From Here to There #1. Just click on the little “Buy Now” button. Unless of course, you’re waiting to order it from our friends at DCBS in November. Which I could totally understand, since it will be 25% off cover price.
Yes, I have been taking lessons in shilling.
Seriously, check out the webcomic. I’m sure from time to time we be putting up various different little webcomics. I’ll make sure to mention them here. One might involve some pigeon detectives. Brian’s got big ideas. Or at least ideas.
The APE convention is drawing closer. Please come and visit us there if you live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Bye for now.

Hello to you all,
I (finally) finished the script for the new story I’ve been working on. I sent it off to Marc Jameson, who is doing the artwork, a few days ago. I’ve been pretty tight lipped about the project so far, but now that it’s “in the works” I’ll spill a few beans.
First, let me tell you how much I like zombies. Looooove them. Second, let me tell you how hard it is to come up with a GOOD zombie story that hasn’t already been told. In case you haven’t caught on yet, my new story is a zombie story. The title is “THE LAYFIELD INCIDENT”.
I wanted to do something different with zombies. I also think that any story worth reading is based around the characters. So… I decided to do a “zombie story” that doesn’t have all that many zombies in it.
It’s mostly about the people that are dealing with this “zombie crisis” and how they cope with it, or rather, how they can’t cope with it.
I’m so happy that Marc has agreed to do the art for this. I can’t believe how lucky I am. I had Stefano Cardoselli do the artwork for my story in “FROM HERE TO THERE” and now I have Marc Jameson Doing the artwork for “THE LAYFIELD INCIDENT”. I couldn’t hope for two better artists. Not bad for a beginner. Hell, not bad for a pro.
I’ll keep you all up to date on the progress of “THE LAYFIELD INCIDENT”. I have a really good feeling about this comic.

Well,
When we went out to Pennsylvania for the Comic Geek Speek Super Show (’08), we had so many little mishaps and adventures that Brian and I had decided that we had to tell people about them. Brian had even suggested that we do some sort of mini comic. So, I dutifully started drawing one as soon as we got home. Then he told me that he had posted something about our first day on this here blog thingie. So, I said “well, my post will be the mini comic that we had talked about, I’ll just do it as an online thing”. So, as you can obviously tell, that didn’t really happen. Totally all my fault. Just like most of the mishaps on our trip. After we were dropped off at the airport, I tried to print out our boarding passes at the self checkin kiosk, to no avail. It turned out that we weren’t due to fly out until the next morning! I started freaking out, because we were going to meet our ride at the Philly airport, we had to be on that plane! So, I paid double what we had originally paid for the ticket to get on a plane that was leaving just a little bit later. Hopefully our ride would stick around for a little while. After going through securit, I fired up my laptop to see if I had a phone number for the guy giving us a ride from Philly to Reading, the estimable Dave Dwonch of “Gnome” fame. It turned out that I didn’t have his number, but he also wasn’t flying until the next day! Bye bye hundreds of dollars. Ouch. Luckily the extremely gracious Bob Bretall of Comic Book Page podcast came through fo rus with a ride. Thanks again Bob! After a quick dinner at the TGI Fridays in Wyomissing, PA we headed over to Bryan Deemer of CGS’s house for a little party. I had a great time, and was excited to finally see both the studio where the Geeks record their podcast, as well as Brya’s awesome home theater setup. Brian and I were pretty beat though, and so quickly headed back to the hotel for some bad television and bedtime.
We’ll finish talking about the Super Show someday soon.
In more current news, the books finally arrived from the printers! That’s right, “From Here to There” is finally sitting in a giant pile of boxes at Brian’s house. I’ll be making it available for sale on the website in the next few days. We’re also happy to announce that it will be available through Discount Comic Book Service’s website in November (at 25% off cover price). Thanks to Cameron of DCBS for helping us out like that.
I’m continuing to work on “The Sound”. The pages are looking better with each one that I finish.
I’m also going to be handling art chores on a short story in the third Comic Geek Speak listener anthology. More on that later.
